Mohit Marwah: I told myself I had to be Besharam to be an actor

Just because you look ordinary and you talk loud doesn’t mean you’re a good actor.” While many in B-town who consider themselves good actors (everyone does) were miffed with this statement, it is only Kangana, who has reacted strongly to it. Kangana says, “Sonam has said that people who act well are ugly, I have heard. So, do I get the crown of the ugliest person? Because after watching Queen, people have been telling me that I act really well. So according to Sonam, I am the ugliest actor in Bollywood today. Bollywood celebrities Rekha, Vidya Balan, Sunny Deol and Sonam Kapoor were among the early-morning voters who gave a head start to voting in Mumbai today.

In Mumbai and also across the state, voting began on a brisk note with most of the voters seemed keen to avoid sweltering heat as mercury has risen to 39 degree Celsius in the last two days.

Vidya Balan was among the first Bollywood celebrity to cast her vote. Vidya, who lives in suburban Juhu after her marriage with UTV head Siddharth Roy Kapur, cast her vote at a Chembur booth. When asked about her voting in Chembur, she said laughing, “Why not.. this gives me a chance to come to Chembur..I do come often”. “Its my responsibility to vote…To point fingers at others and (if) I face a problem, I need to have this on my finger,” she said displaying her inked finger.

Yesteryear actorand Rajya Sabha member (nominated) Rekha came in a track suit to exercise her right to franchise. Actors Sunny Deol and Sonam Kapoor also cast their votes. In suburban Dadar, morning walkers armed with their photo voter slips arrived at polling stations and were seen searching for their names in the voter rolls before entering booths..........

Sonam Kapoor can’t seem to stop raving about her upcoming film Dolly Ki Doli. The Arbaaz Khan production stars Rajkummar Rao, Pulkit Samrat and Varun Sharma and wethinks that the film is a rip-off of RSVP (Ronde Saare Vyaah Picho), a Punjabi film that was released last year.

RSVP is about a conwoman who marries rich Punjabi men and then robs them of their wealth until she meets and falls in love with one of her targets. Sonam will be playing the role of this runaway bride. The plot sounds interesting but we are assuming that the makers of Dolly Ki Doli will tweak it a little........
