Three big banner films namely Sajid Nadiadwala’s Heropanti, Ekta Kapoor’s Kuku Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayi and Vishesh Film’s CityLights is all set to hit the theatres this month. One common thing in all these films is casting of fresh faces for lead female roles.

Simran Kaur Mundi from Kuku Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayi, Kriti Sanon from Heropanti and Patralekha from CityLights have all been models and have done several commercials before venturing into films. Three faces which the casting directors love have had an interesting struggle in the film industry. While Kriti had an engineering degree for back up, Patralekha had no other option except films.
