Will Amitabh Bachchan’s Bhootnath Returns suffer at the box office due to 2014 Lok Sabha elections? Trade buzz!

This week the sequel of Bhoothnath will the theatres. Though it’s a solo release and stars the Shehenshah of Bollywood, the box office collection of Bhoothnath Returns may get affected coz of the Lok Sabha elections:



Nitesh Tiwari’s horror comedy Bhoothnath Returns starring Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani and Parth Bhalerao will release this Friday. While the prequel wasn’t a huge success at the box office, the sequel looks promising as it’s about elections. So far Bhoothnath Returns has created great buzz thanks to good music and not to forget the special Yo Yo Honey Singh number. Also, Shahrukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor are playing cameos in this film and this has only raised the curiosity level amongst the masses. But the question is – will Bhoothnath Returns get the cash registers jingling? Unlike the prequel, will this one turn out to be a blockbuster? Exhibitor-distributor Akshaye Rathi says, “Bhootnath Returns looks like a promising film for multiple reasons – It has a director whose last film was a great entertainer, a superstar who is probably the biggest icon of Hindi cinema, the coming together of production houses that have given the audience some very entertaining films and to the cherry on the top – hit & popular music!”............./
