"Walking Dead's" Emily Kinney Gushes About NYC & Spring Fashions

The blonde beauty rocked a collection of Proenza Schouler, Prada and 7 For All Mankind for the spring-themed spread while chatting about why she loves the Big Apple and scoring a role in the AMC series.

On what drew her to the arts:

"I just love telling stories. We all want to feel like we’re not some animal or machine, like we're human beings — there’s something extra and something special there. Movies and music and television, art, that’s a way of revealing that. You connect with other people when you make them think, 'Oh, I've felt the same way in that moment,' or 'I have a similar story!'"

On NYC:

"I know — I feel like I’m always on the road! But, I love the Upper West Side. Central Park is close, and I like to go for runs or long walks. Plus, there are museums and movie theaters all within just a few blocks — and tons of great restaurants and cafés! Like Caffe Storico, I love the bright-yellow seats. It's such a happy place to have dinner after walking around museums and the city all day. I like that there are always families around, too; it feels homey."

On “Walking Dead”:

"In season 2, we had this big group scene when Sophia comes out of the barn — that was one of the first times I got to shoot with everybody in the cast. It was just a really unifying day and really special moment. I remember Andrew Lincoln pumping everyone up, because it was such a long day. Before, it felt a little like I came in, shot my scenes, and left. But, that was a really special moment. We all got to know each other really well, and I felt like I really belonged in the cast."
