Emma Watson Suffers a Wardrobe Malfunction, Calls Fashion Industry "Dangerously Unhealthy"

Noah Actress Emma Watson Suffers a Wardrobe Malfunction

Emma Watson doesn't intend to show much skin on the red carpet, and yet, the 23-year-old actress seems to suffer more wardrobe malfunctions than anyone else. Such was the case in London Monday, when Watson accidentally flashed her SPANX while posing at the Noah premiere in Leicester Square.

Her sartorial slip-up aside, the Brown University senior looked elegant as ever wearing a bespoke Ralph Lauren Collection column halter gown, which featured a pleated silk-georgette panel at the hip. Watson accessorized with Anita Ko earrings and Jennifer Fisher cuffs and carried a Jimmy Choo clutch.

When she recently opened up her beauty bag, it included Commando Better Than Nothing panties.
Watson's "whoopsies" moment is just the latest in a long line of embarrassing events.

At the Perks of Being a Wallflower premiere in September 2012, Watson unknowingly unveiled her left nipple pastie. A Finch & Partners' pre-BAFTA party in February 2011, her left breast fell out of her low-cut mini-dress. And when Watson showed up for the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 premiere in November 2010, her backless dress exposed her not-so-well-placed fashion tape.

Perhaps her most famous incident was when she accidentally exposed her knickers at the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince premiere in July 2009. "This was a small wardrobe malfunction that happens," she later said. "I don't actually remember it happening. At least I was wearing underwear!"

Watson began working with a stylist years ago to avoid such scenarios. "I have to at this point," the British movie star told Glamour magazine in 2012. "When I was younger, I used to do it all myself, but I've had to get help because it's gotten to a stage where I can't show up in my Converses or whatever I bought from High Street. And just practically, these gowns are ridiculous. You're being photographed from every angle, so not only do you have to consider how the thing looks, but whether you're going to be able to sit in it and whether people are going to be able to see up your skirt."

Speaking to The Sunday Times March 30, the Lancôme spokes model said she seeks red carpet advice from her mother and friends. "I love showing them images and asking, 'What do you think of this dress?' I call on my boyfriends for advice all the time. I mean friends who are boys, and my girlfriends."
