At the 2014 MTV Movie Awards on April 13, songstress Ellie Goulding stunned with Zedd on the Nokia Theatre stage in Los Angeles Calif. with a performance that mashed up the ‘Divergent’ soundtrack!
Ellie Goulding, 27, hit the Nokia Theatre Stage on April 13 for the 2014 MTV Movie Awards along with Zedd, 24, and wowed the crowd with their Divergent soundtrack mashup. Ellie sang “Beating Heart,” and Zedd came in with his song “Find You,” which features vocals by Matthew Koma, 26, and Miriam Bryant, 23. Read on for more about their fantastic performance!
Their performance opened with Ellie singing “Beating Heart” solo on the stage, looking stunning in a maxi dress with a white skirt and sparkly gold bodice.
Then, Miriam and Matthew took the stage as Zedd’s production kicked in. The pair had amazing musical chemistry together up on that giant stage, and the incredible light show made for a stunning performance that had the crowd on their feet and Zedd going crazy on the turntable! It had the sort of frenetic feel that Divergent has — but, luckily, no one’s like, running for their lives or anything.
Ellie looked amazing as well as she wore an Alon Livné Spring/Summer 2014 dress while performing, she looked stunning.
Ellie released her album Halcyon Days, the expanded version of Halcyon, in August 2013 and, between the two records, a whopping six hit singles have been released from them.
In more gossipy Ellie-related news, it’s been rumored that the singer cheated on her once-boyfriend Ed Sheeran, 23, and that his song, “Don’t” is about her cheating on him — allegedly with Niall Horan, 20! Some of the lyrics, like, “I never saw him as a threat, ’til you disappeared with him to have sex / If I show courtesy and respect to someone, I expect to receive it,” are pretty damning.
Also, hilariously, Ellie was name-dropped on Billy Eichner‘s Billy On The Street, where he yelled at passersby, “Should Ellie Goulding find a hairbrush?” One person replied, “I sure wish she would.” Love it.
Zedd is perhaps best known for his song “Clarity”, which also featured British singer Foxes. Zedd is a hustler — in 2013, while also producing a number of tracks for his own releases, he produced three songs on Lady Gaga‘s Artpop.
