Anurag Kashyap threw a wrap up party for the cast and crew of Bombay Velvet. The bash was attended by major big wigs of the industry including the film’s lead actor Ranbir Kappor, Karan Johar who is playing villain in the film, Remo Fernandez, Vikram Aditya Motwane, Siddhartha Basu, Vikas Bahl among others. However, the film’s leading lady Anushka Shrma was missing from the celebration. Par kyun?

Was Virat Kohli the reason why Anushka missed BV’s event? Though, we are not saying this, Anushka’s good friend and co-star Karan Johar said this at the party. When the media questioned on Anushka absence at the event, a jovial Karan said, “Cricket chal raha hai na dekh lo.” So what was the Koffee with Karan host hinting at?..........
                                               

Karan Johar: My father thought I should act!

The producer-director, who is making his full-fledged acting debut with Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet, has thanked him for making his late father Yash Johar’s wish come true:



“My father thought I should be an actor…I didn’t. Thank you Anurag Kashyap for fulfilling my dad’s wish…just wrapped Bombay Velvet!”

In Bombay Velvet, which also stars Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma, Karan plays a villain. The movie, co-produced by Fox Star Studios and Phantom Films, will see Karan in the role of a rich businessman who plays a crucial role in the life of Ranbir’s onscreen character. Now we are not sure how an actor KJo will be after all, acting is not exactly his forte, right!.........

The ace filmmaker, who is all set for the release of his film Ankhon Dekhi this friday, maintains that he is good friends with the Gangs Of Wasseypur maker but will not approach him to produce his films:



Rajat Kapoor has always been synonymous with offbeat cinema. He is best known for films which were low budget and high on content. But for making such films he has perennially faced a lack of producers. When we met him at his Goregaon office, he informed that even for Ankhon Dekhi he was not getting any producers and finally he got pissed and posted on twitter about it. That’s when he found a producer. It was sheer luck but maybe he might not be lucky everytime......
