Is Shuddhi driving Karan Johar nuts?

From Duggu to Ranveer to Aamir, most A-list actors have turned down KJo’s Shuddhi which has been in the news forever. As of now Johar sure seems to be the most unlucky director and his dream project must be driving him crazy, hai na?



Imagine Karan Johar playing the lead in his much-talked about film Shuddhi. Yes, it would be nothing less than a disaster and we are glad that even the Koffee with Karan host feels the same. Today he posted on Twitter, “I AM PLAYING THE LEAD IN SHUDDHI!!!! Sounds Ridiculous??? Well as ridiculous as some of the news reports making the rounds!!!” Well, that could be the last resort if no actor says yes to his film. After all, the filmmaker is making his acting debut with Bombay Velvet wherein he plays a baddie. Coming back to Shuddhi, Karan has lost a lot things coz of his ambitious project. Reports suggested Hrithik walked out of KJo’s magnum opus due to health reasons, however grapevine says something else:
Not too long ago, Hrithik Roshan walked out from Karan Johar’s ambitious project Shuddhi, as the Greek God didn’t want to delay the project any further. While many suggested that the reason for Hrithik’s ouster was his ill health, that wasn’t the only reason, it seems. From what we hear, Roshan Jr was not quite happy with the profit-sharing deal between him and Karan Johar. Well, as a very smart person once rightly said, “The lack of money is the root of all evil.”



So how much percent of the total profit was HR eyeing for? “Hrithik had asked for 40 per cent of the film’s total profit. But Karan Johar didn’t agree to this. This prompted Hrithik to opt out of Shuddhi,” a source was quoted by a tabloid. Ah, well!.........

As per the latest buzz, Singh seems to have made up his mind and will team up with his Ram-Leela director once again for another magnum opus:

Deepika Padukone stepped into Kareena Kapoor Khan role in Shuddhi after the latter opted out of the film. Now we hear Deepika’s alleged beau Ranveer Singh has been roped in to play the part that was to be originally portrayed by Hrithik Roshan. This is after reports suggested that Hrithik might just be back on the movie that he had politely turned down after much delay. Looks like we will get to watch the Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela jodi back onscreen together soon. HR’s loss has certainly proved to be Mr Singh’s gain, however we wonder if Dippy would have been happier to share screen space with Hrithik.........

Deepika Padukone has replaced Kareena Kapoor Khan as the heroine in Shuddhi. This is not first time that Padukone gal has stepped into Bebo’s shoes in a movie. Apparently Karan Johar is keeping this news under wraps, now wethinks this is wise decision considering  Kareena’s successful stint with Dharma Productions has hit all time low. Kareena was left huffing and puffing when one of the most awaited film of hers was delayed innumerable times thanks to Hrithik Roshan’s health at first and followed by work commitments. With the recent development we’re sure that Ms Kapoor Khan will turn green with envy................

Now Ms Kapoor Khan is on a serious role-hunting spree. “I am not too kicked by the scripts that I am reading. I want to work with directors who have something new to offer. I am very keen to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. We’ve come THIS close to working together a number of times. But now, I think we seriously need to get down to it,” says Kareena who is no more interested in collecting offers just for the heck of it............
