O Teri movie review: Pulkit Samrat and Bilal Amrohi will leave you brain-dead with their juvenile antics!

Possibly touted as the new age Andaz Apna Apna, this film is a loose concept forever in search of a concrete plot. Watch it only if you have absolutely nothing else to do this weekend –not to kill the time, but to realise the value of your precious hours and money:

A disco song (titled Butt Patalo to be more specific) in Umesh Bist’s directorial venture O Teri-starring Pulkit Samrat and Bilal Amrohi in the lead roles-summarizes what you are likely to feel after watching this satirical comic caper. The techno beat party number shows at least a dozen of firang babes moving their posteriors, clad in a tantalisingly short skirts or hot pants, as our heroes croon ’round and round your butt is going round’. While the duo enjoys the ‘wholesome roundness’ of some white derrieres gyrating to the tune, the audiences should get a fair idea that their heads are also going to follow the suit soon. (Except that their roundness will be the result of the giddiness that comes from taking on an aimless spin at a horrid pace with juvenile antics thrown in) That’s Atul Agnihori production O Teri in a nutshell..........

This week three films are set to the theatres – O Teri, Dishkiyaoon and Youngistaan. While Sallu miyaan is leaving no stone unturned to promote his brother-in-law’s directorial venture O Teri, Shilpa has teamed up with Harman and Sunny paaji for her first production film. But the question is – which film will rule at the box office?



O Teri directed by Atul Agnihotri starring Pulkit Samrat and Bilal Amrohi in the lead will release this Friday. Though the film has no established actors, the film is being backed by superstar Salman Khan. Well, that’s not surprising as Atul is family and we all know Bhai loves to help his dears ones, hai na? In fact, Salman also features in the title track of O Teri and the makers have also incorporated an item song which has SK’s alleged girlfriend Iulia Vantur. Yes, Sallu and Ms Vantur’s presence in the film has helped in creating a lot of buzz around Atul Agnihotri’s O Teri. But will it ensure box office success of this Pulkit starrer, we wonder. On the other hand, Harman Baweja and Sunny Deol’s Dishkiyaoon co-produced by Shilpa Shetty and her hubby Raj Kundra will also hit the screens the same day.....

After enjoying the unquestionable success of Bodyguard, Atul Agnihotri is excited about his forthcoming movie O Teri that has a huge backing from Salman Khan. Starring Pulkit Samrat and Bilal Amrohi in the lead role this movie is basically a satire revolving around two rookie reporters charged with tremendous confidence and incredible passion. The duo is all set to do unearth some shocking scams and to set the country in order with their might as journalists. We caught up with Atul, Pulkit and Bilal on a rather lazy afternoon in Mumbai to know what to expect from their exciting project. Excerpts from the interview…

It’s been ages since I chatted with newcomers. Before they become stars and get affected. So I set out to interview Pulkit Samrat and Bilal Amrohi. I am happy to report it was fun. Pulkit is quieter, reflects before answering, and doesn’t try to impress. But then suddenly disarms you with his zany humour. Bilal is exuberant, chatty and has all his answers down pat. They will be seen in O Teri, which is a comment on the current political situation in the country. Both Bilal and Pulkit are as clued in about the political scenario in the country and the mood of the aam aadmi. But I am not interested in their GK. I want to know about their EQ. These boys will not be on the Koffee With Karan couch anytime soon, so I decided to quiz them in the style of the host of my favourite show. Read on..........

Saif Ali Khan and his friends, Bilal Amrohi and Shakeel Ladak (Amrita Arora’s husband), were charged under sections 325 (punishment for voluntarily causing grievous hurt) and 34 (acts done by several persons in futherance of common intention) of the Indian Penal Code by a metropolitan magistrate.Present in the court, the trio pleaded not guilty to charges, setting the stage for the trial in the case. The prosecution will present evidence against the three accused before the court at the next hearing scheduled April 30............
