Sunny Deol: Acting is the best thing that happened to me

Sunny paaji describes his journey as an actor:

He has been wearing grease paint for over three decades and actor-producer Sunny Deol describes his journey as an actor “satisfying”.

The 57-year-old began his journey with Betaab in 1983 and in the past 31 years, he has worked in about 90 films with the titles including some of the big hits like Arjun, Chaalbaaz, Ghayal, Damini, Darr, Gadar – Ek Prem Katha and Yamla Pagla Deewana.

Sharing his experience, he acknowledges that “acting is a very satisfying profession”.................

Will Salman Khan backed O Teri beat Shilpa Shetty’s production debut Dishkiyaoon? Trade buzz!

This week three films are set to the theatres – O Teri, Dishkiyaoon and Youngistaan. While Sallu miyaan is leaving no stone unturned to promote his brother-in-law’s directorial venture O Teri, Shilpa has teamed up with Harman and Sunny paaji for her first production film. But the question is – which film will rule at the box office?

O Teri directed by Atul Agnihotri starring Pulkit Samrat and Bilal Amrohi in the lead will release this Friday. Though the film has no established actors, the film is being backed by superstar Salman Khan. Well, that’s not surprising as Atul is family and we all know Bhai loves to help his dears ones, hai na? In fact, Salman also features in the title track of O Teri and the makers have also incorporated an item song which has SK’s alleged girlfriend Iulia Vantur. Yes, Sallu and Ms Vantur’s presence in the film has helped in creating a lot of buzz around Atul Agnihotri’s O Teri. But will it ensure box office success of this Pulkit starrer, we wonder. On the other hand, Harman Baweja and Sunny Deol’s Dishkiyaoon co-produced by Shilpa Shetty and her hubby Raj Kundra will also hit the screens the same day.....

Is Bipasha Basu calling shots in Harman Baweja’s life?

We hear Bips has asked the producers of Dishkiyaoon to tone down her beau’s intimate scenes with co-star Ayesha Khanna in their film. Apparently, the makers of Harman’s next have even agreed to do so. Well, this couple is yet to get hitched but Ms Basu already seems to be calling the shots, hai na?

We all know Bipasha Basu and Harman Baweja are madly in love and could well settle down by the end of this year. While the Bong bombshell has already established herself in Bollywood and has proved her mettle as an actor, Harman is yet to make his mark in filmdom. Though he comes from a filmy khandaan, the Dishkiyaoon actor wants to make it big on his own. Now that’s impressive, no? But wethinks his efforts may go in vain coz of his ladylove. We know it’s hard to see your partner romance someone of course onscreen but that’s how it is in Bollywood and when you’re dating another actor. Other star couples go through the same situation but they deal with it internally and don’t go around asking producers of directors to make changes in their film. That’s so not acceptable and unprofessional wethinks...............

Dishkiyaoon song Nachle tu: Harman Baweja parties hard!

The Hrithik Roshan lookalike is trying hard to come out of the shadows of his not so glorious past:

For the first time ever Harman Baweja is not looking like a Hrithik Roshan clone. After receiving brickbats for his earlier movies like Love Story 2050, Victory and What’s Your Rashee? Baweja was written off for his effortless zest to be the next Hrithik Roshan. But now in his earnest attempt to look his true self, the 33-year-old is all set to redeem his pride. Here he is, seen partying hard in this number from his forthcoming action movie Dishkiyaoon, co- starring Sunny Deol.............

Should Katrina Kaif-Ranbir Kapoor, Rani Mukerji-Aditya Chopra, Bipasha Basu-Harman Baweja finally tie the knot?

These couple have been been dating for ages; time to take the relationship to the altar:

They party together, they holiday together, some even live together. They know they are eventually going to tie the knot. The families have given their blessings too. So what’s stopping them from taking the next step? Some are still using the ‘career’ excuse. Really now. It’s 2014. The first quarter is almost over. And there is no talk about any wedding. John Abraham’s shaadi doesn’t count. We haven’t seen any pics. Not even a wedding ring, or the bride since she became Mrs Abraham. We want a big Bollywood wedding, and consider it our duty and right to encourage some long-time couples into taking the plunge.............

First actor for Dishkiyaoon was signed for Rs. 5000

Believe it or not but when the first actor was signed for Dishkiyaoon, it was for a paltry sum of Rs. 5000. And no, it wasn't Harman Baweja who was given this royal treatment. Instead, it was the very talented Prashant Narayanan who was roped in for this sum and brought on board for an all important part of Mota Tony.

Remembers Sanamjit Talwar, debutant writer-director of the film, "That was back then in 2011 when I had first envisioned Dishkiyaoon as a 15 minutes short film. I needed an actor for this part of Mota Tony, which was quite prominent even in the short film. Since Prashant is a friend, I could just tell him that he had to be in my film. However, I didn't have any money on me then but really wanted to shoot the film. Poor guy, he agreed and just said ki 'Yaar, kuch toh paisa de kyunki even I don't have money'. I said that 'Chal, mere paas 5000 bucks hai so you keep this. That was the first signing amount for my film..........
