Rihanna Gets Paid More For Attending A Fashion Show Than You Probably Make In One Year

You can hardly call the relationship between celebrities and endorsements news. When Michelle Obama or Kate Middleton so much as step out in a certain dress, it's sold out within minutes. And even though studies suggest that people don't actually care about endorsements, that doesn't stop companies from going to great lengths to secure their relationships with the rich and famous. 

So, it's not a surprise that the same rules apply to things like Fashion Week, too. The Sun (and consequently The Telegraph) reported Wednesday that stars like Rihanna are paid £60,000 (about $100,000) by designers EVERY TIME they sit in their front row. That is, of course, more than one person even needs to live for a full year. And when you consider how many shows Ri goes to over the course of a given fashion week, as well as the other celebrities that brands are shelling out money to for appearances (we're looking at you, Miu Miu) well, the numbers are pretty shocking. 

But is it worth the hefty price tag? Does seeing an "It" girl roll around the Chanel show in a shopping cart make you want to buy Chanel any more than you did before? Maybe -- for those who can afford to be buying Chanel in the first place. 

The benefit for designers, naturally, comes from these celebs being associated with their brand. And in a society where photos rule the social media scene and you can follow your favorite stars' every move from your smartphone, it makes sense for labels to want them in their front row. 

And OK, maybe we're a little jealous. After all, if we were offered seats in the front row at some of the biggest fashion shows of the year AND getting paid for it, we'd go to a whole bunch of shows, too.

"Rihanna hand selected people that were given pink wristbands to join her in the private section," a source tells E! News exclusively. They partied in a raised, sectioned-off area with near the DJ booth.

She loves to share on Instagram, but on Tuesday (April 20) the social media site told Rihanna she had to remove photos from a recent magazine shoot from her account.

The "Diamonds" singer had posted the uncensored topless pictures from her Lui shoot, which Instagram said is a violation of their terms of service.

If RiRi had decided to keep the pictures on the site, her account would have been suspended.

Instead, the Barbadian babe posted the shots to Twitter. After removing the pics from Instagram, she posted a fan shot mocking the site.

More famous faces are sounding off following Los Angeles Clippers ownerDonald Sterling's alleged racist rant.

"This Donald Sterling Situation Is Just Truly Sad And Unbelieveable," singer Ciara tweeted on Monday, adding, "It  Also Shows You That When A Person Appears To Have Everything On The Outside, They Can Still Be Empty and Full of Nothing On The Inside."

Rihanna also shared her thoughts by way of a number of memes on her Instagram account, while director Judd Apatow served up a series of tweets that began, "My deal to buy the Clippers is closed. Lots of new rules to announce. First of all-- all races and religions are allowed to attend games," and went on from there.

And Los Angeles Lakers' star player Kobe Bryant insisted, "No. He should not continue owning the clippers. #nochance #noway #nohow."

In the wake of the controversy, some corporations have announced they are ending their sponsorship with the Clippers.

"The comments allegedly made by Clippers owner, Donald Sterling, are offensive and reprehensible, and they are inconsistent with our views and values," Kia Motors said in a statement to E! News. "We are suspending our advertising and sponsorship activations with the Clippers. Meanwhile, as fans of the game of basketball, our support of the players and the sport is unwavering." Clippers power forward Blake Griffin stars in several Kia commercials.

State Farm noted that it "strongly supports and respects diversity and inclusion in its workforce and customers.

The remarks attributed to the Clippers' owner are offensive. While those involved sort out the facts, we will be taking a pause in our relationship with the organization. We are monitoring the situation and we'll continually assess our options. We have a great relationship with Chris Paul and will continue supporting the Born to Assist advertising campaign involving Chris and now other NBA players." The Clippers point guard appears in State Farm commercials, and most recently, Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry appeared alongside Paul in a televised ad.

The "Stay" crooner went braless to a playoff match-up between the Toronto Raptors and Brooklyn Nets in New York City Friday, sitting courtside in a see-through white tank top and ripped jeans next to her BFF Melissa Forde. 

Although Rihanna's rumored beau, Drake, wasn't on hand for that game, the rapper has been supporting his home team—the Raptors—at other match-ups, most notably when he was spotted earlier in the week cleaning his pants courtside with a lint roller. 

A source close to the duo told E! News things are getting serious between them, adding, "they got on so well and have always had a special connection from the moment they met…and now they have found each other again, everyone just feels like this is it." 

Earlier this month, Rihanna and Drake snuck in a courtside hug and kiss between plays at a Los Angeles Clippers game, with the "Days in the East" rapper snapped hugging the singer and kissing her on the cheek. Rihanna also closed her eyes and reached to grab his back during the lovey dovey moment. 

That sighting came just one day after they spent the evening together at Supperclub in Hollywood to celebrate Forde's birthday, hugging and dancing all night. 

Meanwhile, it's no secret that Rihanna is comfortable with her body. Aside from flashing her assets at the game, on Instagram and beyond, the Bajan beauty recently revealed her two stunning Vogue Brasil covers, showing off more skin on those as well. 

"We shot this entire shoot in Brazil with my lover boy @teamvivanco…Brazil I miss you already," the songstress captioned one of the shots on Instagram. On one of the covers, Rihanna sports a plunging, high split metallic dress that shows off her chest and legs. In the other, she stares seductively into the camera, appearing to go topless.

Lolo Jones Disses Rihanna and Drake (Because Apparently Everyone Has an Opinion About Them)

Ever wanted to know how Lolo Jones feels about Rihanna? 

The 31-year-old Olympic track and field star took to Twitter yesterday to poke fun of the songstress and her on-again, off-again boyfriend Drake. 

Referencing Drake's upcoming gig hosting the 2014 ESPY Awards, Jones wrote, "It's amazing that Drake is hosting the @Espys but it's gonna be tough for him to hand out all those awards to Rihanna's ex boyfriends." 

Ouch! Jones is of course referring to Ri-Ri's L.A. Dodgers ex Matt Kemp. 

Jones took to Twitter soon after to clarify her Rihanna-Drake diss, writing, "paleeeze. watching monologues of past espys, my joke was PG compared to how The ESPY Host will roast athletes there." 

Meanwhile, Drake and Rihanna got their PDA earlier this week in L.A. The duo, who have been spending lots of time together recently, were caught hugging and kissing during a Clippers game at Staples Center.
