He came into limelight for his role of Lakshya Virani in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. The character made him to won the Best fresh new face award at The Indian Telly Awards and Favourite Naya Sadasya (Favourite Newcomer) at Star Parivaar Awards(SPA). He was last seen as cameo in the Salman Khan starrer 'Jai Ho'and now he is all set to be seen in movie O Teri.

Samrat was born on December 29, 1983 to Sunil Samrat and Deepa Samrat in Shalimar Bagh, Delhi. He was brought up in a large Punjabi joint family. His family has its real estate business. He also has a brother named Ullas Samrat. Pulkit is also a magician who is into street magic and illusions. He was also a model who had signed up with Elite Model Management but always wanted to become an actor.................
