Sharman Joshi (born 28 April 1979) is an Indian film and theatre actor. He has worked on various stage productions in English, Hindi, Marathi and Gujarati languages. However, he is mostly known for his work in Hindi films. He made his acting debut in Godmother (1999). He made his debut as a co-lead actor in the Hindi film Style (2001), this was followed by supporting roles in hit films like, Rang De Basanti (2006), Golmaal (2006), Life in a... Metro (2007) and 3 Idiots (2009), his next hit film as a lead was Ferrari Ki Sawaari (2012), which got him critical acclaim. 






Personal life: 

Joshi belongs to a Gujarati family of actors and performing artists. His father, Arvind Joshi is a veteran of Gujarati theatre, while his aunt Sarita Joshi (Bhosle), sister and cousins acted in Marathi and Gujarati theatre. His sister, Mansi Joshi has appeared in many televisual series and is married to actor, Rohit Roy. Joshi is married to Prerana Chopra, daughter of actor Prem Chopra. The couple has a daughter, Khyana, born in October 2005, and twin boys, Vaaryan and Vihaan, born in July 2009............

Sunil Grover had a better platform with me: Kapil Sharma

Star comedian Kapil Sharma has faced the ire of Colors, the channel airing his hit show Comedy Nights With Kapil, after he said that he will cut down his involvement with the comedy show in order to further his movie career. 

However, Kapil remains unperturbed by the allegation and says that having a bi-weekly show is too much of pressure. 



In an interview with a leading daily, Kapil was quoted saying, "Now that I have signed a film, it will be difficult to devote so much time to the show. I have communicated my decision to the channel. I hope they understand and take a call." 
Also, putting to rest all questions regarding his differences with Sunil Grover, he said that they still talk and are very warm towards each other. He went on to say, "The reason Sunil left my show was because he was getting many attractive offers and decided to move on." 

However, he did not have anything special to say about Sunil's show Mad In India and said that it lacks charm. 

He added, "Sunil had a better platform with me. There was something special when we worked together. I even had a chat with him on this before he left." 

Kapil also talked about his apparent back problem due to which he walked out of the inaugural event of the Cricket Celebrity League because he was not given a vanity van. He said, "I was asking simply for the basic amenities. Then, my back pain aggravated and I was forced to leave. The next day the headlines were screaming, 'Kapil ne liya Salman se panga.' Baap re!" 

Kapil will make his film debut with Yash Raj Films' (YRF) "Bank-Chor", which will go on floors in April.

Friendly ghost Amitabh Bachchan returns to fight evil politicians

Amitabh Bachchan comes back as the friendly ghost in Bhoothnath Returns , and the film's trailer was launched on Tuesday at a suburban theatre in Mumbai. 

Cashing in on the election fever riding the nation, Big B's new adventure sees him taking on an evil politician which even led to speculations over whether the superstar would join politics once again but Big B was quick to dispel all such notions. 

" I am not into politics," he said. 

The 71- year- old actor lightened the mood at the trailer launch by doing card tricks, conducting a guessing game and recalling his childhood. 

" We hear a lot of ( ghost) stories as kids. I used to be scared to switch- off the lights at night. When a Superman film came out, we thought we could fly if we wore a bed sheet around our necks. And I was about to jump out of the window when someone caught me," Big B recalled. 



The suburban venue of the launch was given a creepy look in sync with the film's theme. The actors turned up at the venue, which was given dressed in character. Big B wore his trademark Bhoothnath attire- grey pants, maroon tee and a chequered jacket. 
Child artist Parth Bhalerao, who plays the role of Akhrot, was dressed in simple shorts and shirt teamed with floaters. 

" Parth is the hero in the film and I am a zero. 

He is a wonderful artist," Big B shared about his young co- star. 

Bhoothnath Returns , costarring Boman Irani and National Award winning Marathi actress Usha Jadhav, is directed by Nitesh Tiwani who earlier codirected Chillar Party . The film opens on April 11.

Aamir Khan's Satyameva Jayate stint scares his mother

The fact that actor-producer Aamir Khan hosts a TV show like "Satyamev Jayate", where startling facts and cases about societal issues are picked, scares his mother. 

The second season of the show is due to go on air on Star Plus March 2. 

The debut season created quite a flutter as Aamir unraveled facts and figures about issues such as female foeticide, dowry demands, the skewed sex ratio in the country and the likes. 



He says he gets a sense of the varied response to the show through his family. 
"My family gives different reactions while watching the show. All my family members like the show. My mother is close to 80, and my niece and nephew who are 12 and 13 years old, enjoy the show equally," Aamir told IANS. 

"My mother is scared...her reaction is different. She says, 'You are showing people who do wrong, with the right intention', but she says she is scared that what if those people go against me or harm me. After all, she is a mother, so she is scared," he added. 

There have been reports that Aamir has been receiving threat calls, but he said: "I have only been receiving love from people and no threat calls these are just rumours."

After receiving reports that Katy Perry and John Mayer were planning to tie the knot in June, came reports of their split. 

The 'Roar' hitmaker- who was seen with a ring on her engagement finger earlier this month, sparking speculation she was set to wed again - reportedly called off her romance with the 36-year-old singer "within the last few days", sources told E! News.

From Vegas to Macau (Chinese: 賭城風雲), also known as The Man From Macau (Chinese: 澳門風雲), is a Hong Kong-Chinese crime comedy film directed by Wong Jing and starring Chow Yun-fat, Nicholas Tse, Chapman To and Jing Tian The film is the fourth installment of the God of Gamblers film series where Chow reprises his role as the titular protagonist once again since 1994's God of Gamblers Returns. The film was released during 2014 Chinese New Year. 

Benz, his son "Cool" and nephew Ngau-Ngau are part of a team of vigilantes who rob gangsters at night and distribute the loot to the needy. However, his wife is suffering from cancer and knows nothing of their activities. Unbeknownst to all of them, Benz's stepson Lionel, a police officer, is on a deep undercover assignment as an employee of a multinational company called DOA. It is later revealed that DOA is merely the corporate front of a large criminal syndicate and is run by the ruthless Mr. Ko. Lionel had a camera surgically implanted onto a contact lens which he wore so the police could track the syndicate's activities and eventually nab them. 

 Meanwhile, Benz reunites with his old friend Ken, known as the "God of Gamblers". Ngau-Ngau becomes infatuated with Ken's daughter Rainbow and is determined to win her affection, even though Ken eventually makes it known that he prefers "Cool" to date his daughter and Rainbow repeatedly rebuffs Ngau-Ngau's efforts. Lionel realizes his cover has been blown and hides the contact lens in a stuffed teddy bear at home without his family's knowledge. 

Ngau-Ngau gives the bear to Rainbow when he and "Cool" visit Ken's house. Mr. Ko sends an assassin to Lionel's flat, only to find Benz, who had just returned home. Benz is beaten and tortured and ends up in a coma while Lionel's body was found later, also bearing torture marks. 

Police detectives from China, Hong Kong and Macau decide to enlist the help of Ken to take down the wily and cunning Mr. Ko. Ken challenges Mr. Ko to a gambling match in hopes of provoking him into making a mistake. Remembers Sanamjit Talwar, debutant writer-director of the film, "That was back then in 2011 when I had first envisioned Dishkiyaoon as a 15 minutes short film. I needed an actor for this part of Mota Tony, which was quite prominent even in the short film. Since Prashant is a friend, I could just tell him that he had to be in my film. However, I didn't have any money on me then but really wanted to shoot the film. Poor guy, he agreed and just said ki 'Yaar, kuch toh paisa de kyunki even I don't have money'. I said that 'Chal, mere paas 5000 bucks hai so you keep this. That was the first signing amount for my film..........

Daawat-e-Ishq movie 2014 :

Daawat-e-Ishq is the upcoming bollywood film, which will be directed by Ishaqzaade fame Habib Faisal. The movie features the pretty doll Parineeti Chopra in the female lead. Whereas Aditya Roy Kapur, Karan Wahi in the male lead roles. This is the debut film of the Tv fame actor Karan Wahi. The veteran actor Anupam Kher will be seen in supporting role.

The plot of the film is not yet revealed, but it is purely a comdey drama. Regarding the film the director Faisal said, "I wouldn't want to talk about the film, because it's too early". He also said that, the idea of giving the unique title as Daawat-e-Ishq, is to create some curiosity in the people.
