Eva Mendes Says Jeans Are Her "Worst Nightmare," Doesn't Like Showing Off Her Curves

Eva Mendes may have a killer physique, but she doesn't always like showing it off! 

The brunette beauty graces the cover of Flare magazine and explained how she isn't a huge fan of body-baring clothing during her downtime.

"I don't like when it's just me and I'm not working. I don't like feeling like I'm on display," she told the fashion publication.

"It's not that I'm against body-conscious clothes—I have worn them on the red carpet or out—but when I'm photographed in them, I always regret it. For me, it's always been the easy way out. When I wear something a little more revealing, I think, 'Oh, gosh, I should have been more creative.'"

Mendes also shared that she's extra cautious when it comes to picking out her outfits for her day-to-day life.

"It's an important part of my day, what I choose to wear and put out there in the world. I also have to remember that I probably will be photographed at the gas pump."

So what's the one thing that the Los Angeles native tries to definitely steer clear of in her closet? Jeans!
"I'm always in dresses, in skirts—I think they're so easy," she explained.

"People are always saying, 'I love jeans, they're so casual and easy,' but I think jeans aren't easy. They're my worst nightmare."

In a very successful attempt at stealing all of the red carpet's attention, actress Maggie Q showed up to the Divergent movie premiere in Los Angeles wearing a ultra-sexy black dress that revealed her bare bod (and lack of undergarments) down her side.



The risky look was a win for the 34-year-old Nikita star, who made it work by keeping everything else very minimal so that all eyes were on her cut-outs. Mission accomplished.

Meanwhile, Woodley went a different route when it came to her red carpet fashion.

Shailene dazzled—literally—in a jeweled taupe one-shoulder gown that showed off some leg and accentuated her curves. Co-star Kate Winslet wowed in a form-fitting red gown that once again left fans stunned at just how great the actress looks after just giving birth to her son Bear in December.



After Winslet was cast as Jeanine Matthews in Divergent, she shared some important lessons with her co-star Shailene Woodley, whose profile has been on the rise since she was cast as Tris Prior in 2012.

"We've had a lot of conversations and we continue to have them," Winslet tells News' Jason Kennedy. "She's a gorgeous girl and I feel really very excited for her, partly because she's going to be able to handle all of this. She's a very gentle grounded person and she's going to be absolutely fine. We just chat about the experiences that I have had and the things that I have learned, and how to stay true herself and what to say what not to say, but more importantly, to enjoy it, too."

I gotta admit, I'm not a fan of contemporary country music. I hate the matter-of-fact style lyrics and just like rap drives some other people absolutely insane, that's how country music is for me. Think of the absolute most annoying song you can that makes you go on murderous rampages and that's pretty much exactly how I hate the genre as a whole. I am, however, a big fan of super hot ladies and if they decide to make a living off of the very thing that I hate most…well, who am I to judge. Carrie Underwood just so happens to be one of these individuals and while I've been known to watch her music videos with the volume completely turned all the way down, she's still very much a talented singer. When she's not making the worst possible music on the planet, I guess she likes to hit up fashion shows. 
Here she is at the Peter Som fashion show looking like a model herself. She's just a spectator here, but man, she's looking beautiful enough to be right there on the catwalk. Maybe she'll make a country song out of her experience. God took me down to old fashion show, I'll admit all the models were all a-glow, smoked that cigarette and then watched them walk real slow.
