After Kangana Ranaut, Shruti Hassan agrees to play mommy!

Looks like the Queen of Bollywood has set a benchmark for actors in Bollywood and Shruti Hassan is the first to follow in her footsteps. After Kangy gave a green signal to playing mommy to a 14-year old in Sujoy Ghosh’s Durga Rani Singh; Shruti Hassan will age onscreen.

Tigmanshu Dhulia was in the news for casting Vidyut Jamwal as the younger version of Irrfan Khan in his film Yaara. Just when he was about to lose sleep looking for an actor to play an older Shruti Hassan, the Ramaiyya Vastavaiya bombshell put his mind at ease by volunteering to play her older self. The Luck actor will be seen sporting grey hair for the film that spans two distinct eras...........

Come Friday, three films – Revolver Rani, Samrat & Co and Kaanchi will clash at the box office. But which flick will race ahead in the numbers game, only time will tell:



After Queen, Kangana Ranaut is back at the box office as Revolver Rani and she would battle it out with musical Kaanchi and thriller Samrat & Co. for the top honours when the threesome hit the screens on Friday.

Kangana loves to push the envelope by stepping into unconventional roles and she continues the trend with Revolver Rani, which sees her in a never-seen-before avatar of a don shooting guns and mouthing dialogues in profane language.

With her brilliant performance in Queen, Kangana not only raised the bar for her contemporaries but for herself too thus raising fans’ expectations from her. Debutant director Sai Kabir describes her character as “ugly” and non-glamorous............

Kangana Ranaut’s Revolver Rani is B-grade entertainment, says Tigmanshu Dhulia

Filmmaker-producer Tigmanshu Dhulia, who is now busy promoting Revolver Rani, says its a complete B grade entertainment. “I have seen ‘Revolver Rani’ three to four times during editing and whenever I see it, I find something new in it. Yeh ek classic ki nishaai hai (It is a sign of a classic). Its a B grade entertainment… everybody will like it..........
