A Guy Ducked Under America Ferrera's Dress on the Red Carpet at Cannes

America Ferrera got a strange surprise at the Cannes Film Festival premiere of How to Train Your Dragon 2 Friday when a man approached the actress on the red carpet and tried to seek refuge under her floor-length skirt.

And here we thought the big news would be the stunning star's down-to-the-navel neckline.

Concerned costar Cate Blanchett went over to Ferrera to see if she was all right—and though the look on Ferrera's face indicated that she wasn't fine ("What in the [bleeping] heck was that?" she was asking with her eyes), the Emmy winner otherwise handled the imposition like a pro and continued on her way.

The creeper in question—who looked to be wearing a tuxedo, or at least a formal dark suit—managed to poke his head under Ferrera's dress before being hauled away by security. He didn't go that quietly, either, as he managed to cling to one of her ankles before being forced to let go.

On the bright side, Ferrera looked amazing in a light yellow gown of crepe, tulle and organza from Georges Hobeika's Spring/Summer 2014 Couture collection.

Festival officials have not yet commented on the incident.

Reports have identified the offender as repeat red carpet prankster Vitalii Sediuk, a Ukrainian journalist known for trying to smooch Will Smith at a premiere and somehow getting onstage during the Grammys while Adele was accepting an award.

On Friday (May 16), the “Green Lantern” hunk teamed up with Rosario Dawson for “The Captive” press duties in Nice, France.

Per the synopsis, “8 years after the disappearance of Cassandra, some disturbing indications seem to indicate that she's still alive. Police, parents and Cassandra herself, will try to unravel the mystery of her disappearance.”

Kendall Jenner Stuns in Chanel for Her First Cannes Film Festival

Kendall Jenner has had a lot of milestone moments this year, between walking in a slew of Fashion Week shows and attending the Met ball just last Monday.

And now she's got another memory to file under "awesome moments of 2014": attending her first Cannes Film Festival.

The 18-year-old model arrived in France today for the 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival, and she stepped out on the red carpet looking the picture of sophistication in a black and white Chanel dress, a Chanel clutch and Chopard jewels.

Kendall posted a pic on her Instagram, flashing a close-up of her cool clutch and rings with the caption, "No ones putting a ring on it so I put 2.... #FestivalDeCannes #Chopard."

Side note: We predicted the ring stacking trend earlier this year, and now that Kendall is sporting the look, clearly the trend is taking off.

Before Kendall hit the red carpet, she posted another picture on Instagram of her having just arrived in Cannes, taking in the ocean view from her balcony. "Hi Cannes!" she wrote alongside the photo.
We'd say that's the picture of the sweet life, right there.
