We've always associated [b]Hilary Duff[/b] with her long, blond hair, but clearly the 26-year-old star and mom was in the mood for something fresh when she went to celebrity hairstylist Marcus Francis and had him chop it all off.

So Hilary took the plunge and traded in her longer locks for something short and sweet. She posted a picture on Instagram of Marcus mid-chop, holding scissors to her hair with the caption, "Morning chop....W/ my favorite @marcusrfrancis"

Then Hilary posted an "after" pic on Instagram captioned "#selfie," showing off her edgier, choppy bob haircut. Hilary has experimented with darker hair color shades before, but we've never seen her go this short. The verdict? We love! It really suits her.

We knew it was only a matter of time before another star got on the bob haircut bandwagon. It was practically the official haircut for spring, and clearly the bob trend is continuing into the summer.

Forget Throwback Thursday! This is our favorite photo of the day. Hilary Duff took to Twitter today to share a photo with her 2-year-old son Luca and the super-sweet shot of the mother-son duo is sure to make you say, Aww.

"[Kissin] like we mean it. (MC gets photo cred for this 1)" the mother of one captioned the twitpic with a kissing emoji, instantly proving that she and Luca are the world's most delightful duo.

Duff and her son are killing us with cuteness while sharing a smooch in the shot, as little Luca reaches up and adorably grabs his mama's head to pull her in close.

The former Disney star presumably gave her ex, Mike Comrie, a photo credit for the pic, providing evidence once again that the former couple is nothing but amicable.

Luca most recently celebrated the big 0-2 and the proud mama shared a sweet photo collage of her son in honor of his 2nd birthday on her social media page.

"You make each day better and better Luca Cruz .... The brightest star," Duff captioned the pic-framed photo, which featured a slew of precious pics of little Luca, including a shot with the singer's ex.

In January, Duff made headlines when a rep for the actress announced her split after three years of marriage from the former NHL hockey player. Despite the breakup, the two have maintained an incredibly amicable relationship for their son and recently enjoyed a "modern family" vacation.
