Fox and the voting American public have finally crowned the newest singing sensation

We'd like to introduce you to the newest American Idol! 

After what has seemed like years, Fox and the voting American public have finally crowned the newest singing sensation. Wednesday night's two hour broadcast was filled with A-list appearances and far too many commercial breaks as the remaining two season 13 finalists Jena Irene and Caleb Johnson awaited their fate. 

After some amazing performances by Phillip Phillips, (we still can't get over that name!) Kiss, Demi Lovato, Paramore, Jason Mraz, John Legend, and many more, it was time for host, Ryan Seacrest, to announce the winner.

Caleb Johnson!!! 

Not only has Caleb won the title of the newest American Idol, a huge cash prize, and a record deal, he and runner-up Jenna have also won Ford Mustangs. (Hmm… advertising much, Fox?) 

In other shocking new, judge Harry Connick Jr. finally gave a standing ovation not once, but multiple times during tonight's broadcast. We have a feeling he is just as happy as we are to be done with the two-a-week live shows. (It's been more than 13 weeks with NO double eliminations people!)

Dancing With the Stars' Winner Revealed! Was It Meryl and Maks, Amy and Derek, or Candace and Mark?

Dancing With the Stars crowned the winner of season 18

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a new dancing diva! On Tuesday night, Dancing With the Stars crowned the winner of season 18 and that lucky lady is now the proud owner of the Mirror Ball Trophy, as well as some serious sequined bragging rights. 

After reliving their most memorable dances from the season, finalists Meryl Davis, Candace Cameron Bure and Amy Purdy endured the prolonged hour and multiple performances from Amber Riley and Iggy Azalea. Plus, the entire season 18 cast returned to dust off their dancing shoes and show that they have not already forgotten their ballroom moves. (You go, NeNe Leakes!)

For those of you desperate to know the rest of the DWTS standings, Candace and Mark Ballas placed third, while Amy Purdy and her multiple Mirror Ball Trophy-winning partner, Derek Hough, received the second place slot.
